Nabbed

I hadn't noticed what I was doing until it was too late. On my way to cover a military funeral at last minute, I got caught by a speed camera van doing 57 in a 50. It's annoying on so many levels. I was nabbed just after that start of the speed limit zone and it's one I normally stick to, although cant really tell why it's there!

So this morning I'm taking a speed awareness course, after all this is the first time I've been caught.

The group I'm with is interesting. It's about an even split between men and women. It's also a real mix of ages.

I'll finish this post when I'm on the other side!!!

Half time.

The chap leading the course is pretty good and seems to be able to manage the crowd (well 27 of us!) well. It's a bit like Who wants to be a millionaire as we all have remote buttons for answering questions.

Since I've already done driving courses with work so far I've not learnt anything new, but part two is still to come.

The attitude of some of the people taking part is interesting... The whole, this is a complete waste of my time type of arrogance. Martin the trainer seems to be doing a good job of taking them head on though. It's typical the arrogant one is also the cute younger man... No type casting there then!

For me the process of doing this course is a little embarrassing. I know these speed limits, I know the consequences. It was a momentary lack of concentration - but I should know better!

Going back in now....
