Paris eleven

 

Time for an emergency break. It's been a pretty tough month and - thank god for BA miles - I needed to get away.

Keeping this blog updated is always quite low on the pecking order. Add lots of personal flotsam and I've steered clear of it mainly, I suppose, because it's quite a public record of events and I'm not that keen on airing my laundry.

Last week I presented my last drivetime programme which means from this moment on, I'm no longer doing the thing has has kept me ticking along for pretty much the last seven years.

I'm pretty philosophical about it, I've always loved presenting but have been very aware that it was always a short term thing, if seven years is short term.

The big question is: What next? I've been offered the chance to do some of the things I like (produce special projects) and something I've not really done before - report.

In a pretty failed attempt at trying to refocus I thought i should treat myself to a break.

I've not seen my friend Steph in a few years, so this seemed a good moment to visit!
