Is this the start of deeper things to come?

For the last few weeks the UK has been cold. Nothing new apart from the fact that it's been bloomin cold for nearly three weeks now. It started with a good bowt of snow around my birthday. The White stuff avoided Oxford and then I headed to Geneva! It stopped me from landing the night I wanted, and when I did get back home the next morning things were white but no longer fresh.
So finally today the proper snow is due here in Oxford and I might get to actually experience it first hand. The Met Office say we can expect up to 30cm (maybe even 40cm) but I have a feeling here in the city it won't be that bad.
I'm missing being out in the sticks, with the chance to walk out in to the countryside and see how picturesque everything gets under a blanket of snow.
If I'm not dragged in to work at 4am tomorrow morning, I might just get a chance to see what Oxford can offer when deep in snow.
