Western Canada (Part 1)

So i'm doing a bit of a tour around Western Canada.

The first few days were spent in Vancouver, a cool compact city in beautiful surroundings. Thanks to friends of my travelling partner Gareth, i got a nice look at the essential city.

It makes a difference having a local guide. You get to avoid the really tacky stuff and to see the bits the locals like.

We travelled up to Grouse Mountain, which is still snow covered (just). A morning was spent in the museum of Anthropology (brain hurts!) and a stunning afternoon crossing the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Eating was great, with lovely meals at the local markets and restuarants plus their was the night we went to see the local drag show. I'm not sure I want to explain more about that.

As I get time, I'll flesh this entry out a bit.
