The Birds!!!

I took a day out and ventured south to see some friends and catch up with my Godson Jonathan.

I've been pretty bad at the Godfather thing. I really thought it had only been a couple of years since I last met up with him and his family.

It turns out it was actually nearly five years! Its amazing the change. Once a five year old he was now a little adult. He was someone who was able to look out for his younger brother, who when I last saw hime was a tiny baby. He was now just like Jonathon was!

All very bizarre. I must make a point to see them much more often than that!

After seeing them I moved on to Brighton. One of my favourite corners of England. My mate Nico introduced me to the latest tourist venture in this fantastic resort.

Not a new building, not a fantastic restuarant (although we did do one of those!) not a new bar. This was something that has actually been happening for a long while, but now seems to be an actual draw to the place.

The starling roost!

Every evening at sun down, thousands of starlings start to come together either around the ruins of the West Pier or the tacky old Palace Pier. They swoop around in a crazy organised swirl. It looks great. I got some pictures of them, although that night their wasn't a huge collection. It looked pretty good to me though.
