We did Canal street last night, which was fun... not too full of Hen Nighters as it was a Sunday.
Today I headed in to the city to do a bit of culture. My Gran was always a big fan of Lowry, so I thought I'd try and find out a bit more. Manchester is the home of Lowry, so I took myself to the Lowry centre in the Salford Quays area. The display is compact, but interesting and as usual with Lowry, fun.
Accross the Manchester Ship Canal is the new Imperial War Museum (North) which is fantastic... the visual display is stunning and very powerful. The actual content is a bit sparse, but its all well put together and worth a peek around. See the photos at my Flickr site.
