helicopter certificate

I'm wittering! Again.
It was great fun and quite a bit scarey at times. It took two attempts to actually fly as when I turned up on the first day the weather was horrible.
On attempt two, the weather was perfect. Clear skies and not too high winds. For 45mins I was taken through helicopter basics using toys on the ground. I don't think it helped my confidense being shown what yaw was with a Matchbox Apache!
Once the trainer had suitably shocked me... we headed over to the R22 flying goldfish bowl. We then had an hour flying across the Kent countryside. I had a go at trying to point the thing in a straight line and also at hovering... but got shouted at a fair amount so will need a lot more practise. In fact in theory all I need is another 70 hours in the air and I may get used to it.
