Happy New Year.

Its seems a bit crass to say that, following everything that happened at the end of last year.

As a broadcaster I've found myself talking to many people involved in the tragedy around the Indian Ocean and I realise that there is nothing that can be said that makes sense of it all.

I wonder how much attention the event would have brought if it his an area that tourists don't visit!
