Cool Man!

Being in Fashion is such a challenging thing. Personally I have never had a problem as I have spent most of my avoiding it - or it has avoided me - whichever!

London has once again found itself En Vogue. It seems to do this every few years but I suppose its all very subjective.

This time the Lonely Planet travel guides have given it the award as coolest city on earth - beating New York, Paris and Rome.

I've been to New York and Paris and definitely feel London has something over both (I can't comment on Rome). Paris is nice but Parisians have too much attitude and seem to be miserable... But that might have been in response to the fact that I'm English!

New York is great fun but still lacks something. I think maybe its just a bit to big, unwieldy!

London, however, is a great place to live. Each locale has its own atmosphere and culture, the West End is packed with every form of entertainment, the architecture is fabulous, I could go on and on.

I'm once again annoyed with the newspapers coverage of this though. The Metro have managed to find the negative (The guide says we have a litter and public transport problem!) and talk about that.

For once can't they take the Good News, and celebrate it!
