The last couple of days have been manic.
The Met Office got it right (for the first time this year).
It snowed on Wednesday night. As is usual in my life, the timing was perfect! I had just bought a new Dyson and was hauling it back home. While passing through Crossharbour on the DLR we went from a slightly overcast afternoon to blizzard. Complete Whiteout. It was fab.
What was bizarre was the thunder and lightening. This confused me quite a bit as I'm sure your only supposed to get thunderstorms with humid conditions. Well thats not the case!
I eventually staggared in to my place looking like a snowman. It did look very pretty on our decking though - just like Christmas should be!
The problem with snow in this country, is that we can't cope. It may only be a millimetre but its enough to bring the whole country to a halt!
I had to get a cab to work yesterday and today so that I could be in early so I was up earlier than ever.
I arrived around 0530hrs and everything was going ballistic... and that was the case all day. People phoning up with reports of black ice, snow drifts and jacknifed lorries.
I wonder if we will ever learn, and be ready for any type of different weather?
